Introduction

Layline Ventures Tecnologia da Informacao LTDA ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Glu, our GLP-1 tracking application.

We are registered in Brazil at Rua Pais Leme, 215, CJ 1713, Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo 05424-150. Our CNPJ/VAT number is 62.794.402/0001-62.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide, including your email address, account credentials, and profile information.

If you contact us, we may collect the contents of your communications and any information you choose to provide.

We also automatically collect certain information when you use Glu:

  • Device information (type, operating system)
  • Identifiers such as device identifiers and app instance identifiers
  • App usage patterns and interactions
  • Entries and content you create within the app, such as reminders, doses, weights, meals, water, exercise, goals, symptom logs, and related notes, which may include health-related or otherwise sensitive personal data depending on what you choose to enter
  • Log data, diagnostics, crash reports, and analytics
  • Push notification tokens (if you enable notifications)
  • Subscription status information (for example, whether you have an active subscription), which we receive from your app store and/or our service providers to enable paid features (for example, subscription status, renewal/expiration dates, and transaction identifiers)

In-app search queries are app-install scoped and not tied to account identity.

Subscription status and purchase-related entitlement data are used for app functionality and are not tied to your account identity in analytics/diagnostics contexts.

Product interaction, crash data, performance data, other diagnostic data, and device/app instance identifiers are app-install scoped and not tied to account identity.

We do not collect precise or coarse location data.

If you enable reminders or notifications, those alerts may be delivered through Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Google Play services, or similar platform notification services. Depending on your device settings, notification content may appear on your lock screen or notification center.

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Glu
  • Process your reminders, dose history, health logs, and progress data
  • Personalize your tracking experience
  • Communicate with you about updates and support
  • Analyze usage to improve our service
  • Measure product performance and feature usage (for example analytics and diagnostics)
  • Authenticate accounts, enforce usage limits, and prevent abuse or unauthorized access
  • Manage subscriptions and entitlements, including syncing subscription status across devices and app stores
  • Deliver reminders and notifications you enable
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access

We may use, process, retain, and disclose personal information as described in this Privacy Policy, as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, improve, and support the Services, comply with legal obligations, enforce our agreements, and protect our rights, users, and the public.

We may create and use aggregated, de-identified, or anonymized information that does not reasonably identify you for analytics, product improvement, research, service development, reporting, and other lawful business purposes.

Payments and Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not process payments directly and we do not store full payment card details.

Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by the platform where you purchased your subscription and are subject to that platform's terms.

Tracking Technologies

We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We may use limited analytics and crash reporting to understand app performance and improve the Services.

These tools may collect device identifiers and usage events. We use this information to diagnose issues, prevent abuse, and improve features.

Third-Party AI Services

Glu uses artificial intelligence for features such as Food Fit, which helps identify how a meal may fit into your goals, and Snap Macros, which estimates macros from food photos. AI features are optional and can be enabled or disabled in the app.

To deliver AI features, we may transmit the content you choose to submit for AI processing, including meal descriptions, nutrition goals, food photos, and related prompts or metadata you provide for those features. Depending on what you submit, this content may include personal data.

The third-party AI provider we currently use is:

  • Google LLC — Mountain View, California, USA (via Google AI Studio / Gemini APIs).  Privacy Policy

Each provider maintains data protection standards equivalent to or greater than our own. Your content is processed solely to generate the requested AI output and is not used to train public or general-purpose AI models.

We may retain limited records of AI inputs and outputs as needed to provide the feature, maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve the Services.

Where applicable, uploaded food photos, meal descriptions, prompts, and AI-generated outputs may be stored in your account history so you can review them later. Unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, or operational reasons, this information is deleted or de-identified when your account deletion request is completed.

We may update the list of third-party AI providers as the Services evolve. We will revise this Privacy Policy prior to using any new provider.

Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is stored on secure servers and encrypted in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

International Data Transfers

Please be advised the Services are hosted in the United States. If you access the Services from other regions, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Services (for example, hosting, cloud storage, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, messaging, notification delivery, and subscription infrastructure)
  • Platform providers to process purchases and manage subscriptions
  • AI service providers (currently Google) to process content submitted for optional AI features, such as meal descriptions, goal context, and food photos you provide for Food Fit and Snap Macros. Depending on what you submit, this content may include personal data
  • Legal requirements when required by law

When we share analytics or crash reporting data with service providers, that data is app-install scoped and not tied to account identity.

Your Rights

EEA / UK / Switzerland Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, and (where applicable) withdrawal of consent.
United States (some states) Access, deletion, correction, and opting out of certain disclosures (where applicable). We do not sell personal information.
Other locations You may have similar rights under local law. Contact us and we will respond as required.

We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law and may request additional information if needed to process your request. Where permitted, you may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.

If you are in a location that provides an appeals process for privacy requests, you may ask us to reconsider our decision by replying to our response email.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time, either in-app or by following the instructions at myglu.health/delete-account.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information from our active systems within 30 days, unless a longer retention period is required for legal, security, or operational reasons. Backups may persist for up to 90 days before being overwritten, and we may retain limited records as needed to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.

Account deletion generally includes profile information, reminder history, dose history, weight entries, meal and water logs, activity records, symptom logs, uploaded food photos, and stored AI inputs and outputs associated with your account, subject to the limited retention exceptions described above.

Children's Privacy

Glu is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

If you are a minor (generally under the age of 18 in many jurisdictions), you must have the permission of, and be directly supervised by, your parent or guardian as described in our Terms of Service.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy and updating the "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
